Catch The Bus Week

Catch The Bus Week is focused around celebrating the benefits of bus travel and encouraging those who don’t usually travel by bus to give it a go.

The largest of our local bus operators, Stagecoach in Cambridgeshire, arranged events for Catch The Bus Week 2019. Whippet Coaches had no events this year.

We contacted Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority and Greater Cambridge Partnership to see if they were taking the opportunity to promote bus travel, and to consult the community. We still await any reply.

Stagecoach in Cambridgeshire’s Pop-up Event in Cambridge City Centre

On Thursday 4th July 2019 between 10am and 4pm, Hattie The Community Bus was parked up outside Boots in Cambridge City Centre. Shoppers, city centre workers and passers-by picked up vouchers for free tickets and found out more about bus travel.
