A2B Travel Group announced today that they are making changes to services on two of their routes with effect from Monday 27th June.
7A: The section of the route from Trumpington Park & Ride and Sawston Park Road is being abandoned. Buses will serve only the Sawston to Duxford portion. In addition, the number of Monday-Friday departures is being significantly reduced – under the new timetable there will be 4 departures from Duxford and 3 from Sawston (currently there are 7 and 6 respectively).
31: The number of services on this route is being reduced by one in each direction, and there are changes to most off-peak times as a consequence. Since some trips previously used to be run by a bus that also operated service 114 – meaning passengers had a guaranteed connection at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. (and didn’t need to change vehicles). It is unclear how changes to the 31 will impact on that (the revised timetable is silent on the matter).
New timetables are available on the A2B website.
CABU notes the short notice and the limited publicity given to these changes.
