Buses are fitted with tacking devices to provide Real Time Passenger Information (RTPI). There are a variety of ways that use this data to track your bus in real time. In addition to the apps and websites from the individual operators, you can look at:
- bustimes.org has live maps and timetables.
- real time bus information at stops, which may be the older (larger) LED displays or the newer (tablet-size) Papercast displays
- Smart Cambridge is a map showing buses in real time. It’s handy to see all of the buses together.
- vixConnect gives you arrivals and departures, focusing on information by bus stop.
